Shout Out Your Expertise!

If you don’t shout about your expertise from the mountaintop, no one is going to do it for you. 

And it doesn’t matter what industry you’re in - design, art, fashion, dog training, or cooking courses. Don’t let your brain (which is hardwired for survival) dictate how you act out there.

These are some of its tricks to trap you in a cycle of fear and mediocrity:

“Do I really need to talk about my services, AGAIN?”,

“But… What if my colleague, neighbor (choose your own character) sees it and thinks it’s silly?”,

“Extraordinary success is reserved for special people, not for me, so I won’t even try,” or

“Instagram algorithm hates me, so I won’t post” (not me talking about myself, but I’m getting better :D )

Just stop it.

Or better yet, let’s break through these barriers together and leave them behind so we can start to shine. All together.

Because if you’re reading this, you’re SPECIAL - you strive for excellence, making the most out of your life, seeing beauty and creativity, and, of course, viewing drawing as a tool for a breakthrough. I’m glad this community consists of incredible people like you, where we can share our insights (thank you all so much, by the way, for responding to my newsletters and sharing your stories, that means a lot)!

So, talking about promoting your services. You attract new people every single day. Share your work as if no one has ever heard about you. What might sound obvious to you is a new discovery for someone who just found you.

Get over your shyness - this is not the place for it, and those who have enough courage to show up every single day dominate the market, not the most talented ones, contrary to what you might think.

Regarding what others think - an example from my own life. I know someone who’s been talking about starting their business FOR MONTHS. And every single time we talk about it, I hear the same excuse, “What will my friends, colleagues, etc., think if I fail?” Honestly?

I know this person will fail. Four reasons:

❌ Endless thoughts without any action

❌ Chronic excuse of “I’m afraid of other opinions”

❌ Negative outlook - this person already thinks they’ll fail

❌ ALWAYS asking for feedback - “Should I do this or that?”

NEXT.

On to talent. 

This was a huge obstacle for me and became my biggest regret. For my entire life, until only a couple of years ago, I didn’t start some of my incredible ideas because I thought I wasn’t as perfect as this or that artist. I thought that my ideas were crap and that I would never, ever, be able to reach that success.

FALSE. Please - PLEASE - read this carefully and reprogram your mind.

‼️ IT’S NOT THE TALENTED ONES WHO SUCCEED, BUT THOSE WHO JUST SHOW UP. EVERY SINGLE DAY. THEY FAIL AND START OVER. THEY FAIL AND START OVER.

So many wasted years of mine because of this. Even with drawings sometimes.

The ability to show up no matter what, to be SO DAMN PROUD of yourself, to market your services EVERYWHERE and ANYTIME, and to be grateful - that’s all you need for success.

And the last one - social media algorithm. Two reasons for dips in statistics:

1. Change of content and regularity
2. Poor content
